Join us for a full-day walking excursion as we explore Chicago’s Loop— the vibrant heart of the city. This casual outing is a chance to bond in a group setting while discovering iconic architecture, historic landmarks, and the unique energy of downtown Chicago. It's a great opportunity to connect, spend time together, and share our conference experiences.

The excursion includes:

 

• Public transportation from Sonesta O’Hare Hotel to downtown Chicago.

• Visit to Willis Tower (Skydeck Experience, additional cost).

• Lunch at the iconic Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria.

• 2 hour private walking tour exploring a carefully selected number of buildings worth visiting for their interior architectural details. The tour offers the opportunity to enjoy over two centuries’ worth of hidden architectural wonders lying just behind closed doors.  

• Visit to Millenium Park (The Bean), Buckingham Fountain, and the Lake Michigan shoreline that leads to the Museum Campus.

• Visit to Navy Pier, including transportation. Navy Pier includes many dinner options (self-pay) and the Flyover Chicago Experience (additional cost).

• Private transportation from Navy Pier to Sonesta O’Hare Hotel.

Skydeck Chicago offers a multi-sensory experience encompassing breathtaking panoramic views, interactive exhibits, and thrilling attractions, all within the iconic Willis Tower. Visitors can explore an interactive museum that celebrates Chicago's history and unique character, then ascend to the 103rd floor to experience the Ledge, glass floor balconies extending from the building's facade. 

 

Interactive Museum
The lower level features a multi-million-dollar museum with seven interactive zones, including "Origins," showcasing Chicago's history; "Architecture," with a fly-through video; and "L Train," offering a simulated ride through Chicago neighborhoods. 

 

The Ledge
Standing on the Ledge, visitors can experience the sensation of walking on a glass floor 4.3 feet above the Willis Tower, providing a unique view of the city.

 

Elevator Ride

The ride to the 103rd floor is an experience, with multimedia displays referencing points of interest along the ascent.

Skydeck Observation Deck
From the observation deck, visitors can enjoy panoramic 360-degree views of Chicago, spanning up to 50 miles and encompassing four states on a clear day.

FlyOver Chicago is a multi-sensory, immersive flight ride that uses drone footage and flight motion seats to simulate the sensation of flying over Chicago. The experience is divided into three acts: an introductory gallery-style experience, a 6-minute 360-degree video, and the 9-minute "flying journey. The entire experience lasts approximately 30 minutes. 

 

Flyover Chicago takes you on an emotional journey, connecting you to the heartbeat and humanity of this great city. Soar over skyscrapers and into the heart of the city. Motion seats, scents, mists and music work together to capture the feeling of flight as you explore Chicago from above and experience the city’s most iconic landmarks like never before. From jazz and gospel to hip-hop and house, the Chicago story can’t be told without a genre-defying soundtrack to match. Led by acclaimed composer Elliott Wheeler and featuring local musicians, choirs, and other artists, Believe Chicago’s score showcases the city’s eclectic musical history in dazzling 34-channel immersive spatial audio.

 

The Flyover experience is a gentle ride. Guests sit in chairlift-style seats and are elevated before a large, spherical screen. Although most people don’t experience any issues with the motion or the elevation a very small percentage of the public may find it uncomfortable. Therefore, if you are particularly susceptible to motion sickness or fear of heights, you may wish to consider refraining from participating.
